Weekend Deals: Uber Savings From Ubisoft

It’s the freakin’ weekend, and it’s time to save some serious money on games. GOG.com, a favorite of mine, is offering ridiculous deals on Ubisoft titles — and I do mean ridiculous. 65% or more off on over 50 games, including all Heroes of Might & Magic titles, most Prince of Persia titles, and most Rayman titles. Most games are under $5. Meanwhile, Indie Gala is offering its own savings, with 80% off the Darksiders franchise. Both games for $9.99, plus the Darksiders II soundtrack! Not too shabby.

On the brick-and-mortar side of things, Wal-Mart is offering a 500GB PS3 console for only $149.99. If you don’t have one yet, what is wrong with you? Now’s the perfect time to pick one up and enjoy some truly fantastic games, like Far Cry 3 or Destiny.

Nintendo is having a special promotion through September promoting its, ugh, #Nindies. Awful name aside, each week will have a new indie game release complete with a 10% discount. This week has Jotun: Valhalla Edition.

Did someone say Steam deals? No? Well, auditory hallucinations or not, they’re having a Focus Weekend, with savings across their entire publisher’s library. Most notable is the Focus Selections Pack, which features 21 games for less than $40 — a 75% savings. Not too shabby.

Finally, Humble Bundle is having a YUUUGE Summer Sale! Games from THQ, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, and more are priced to move, and they’ve even thrown in a game for free. For a very limited time, Tropico 4 is free! The best part is that 5% of everything you spend is donated to the American Red Cross, so you can feel kinda good about spending way too much.
